With this intimate on-stage event, we’re flipping your concert-going expectations. Enter through the stage door then mix and mingle in the green room before taking your seat — which faces the audience chamber. Here, you’ll share the stage with Yasmin Williams whom The New York Times called “one of the country’s most imaginative young solo guitarists.”
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Yasmin Williams was raised in Virginia and grew up surrounded by music. Inspired by a wide range of artists — from Chuck Brown to Jimi Hendrix — she began developing her innovative fingerstyle acoustic guitar technique while studying music theory and composition at NYU.
Over the course of three albums (including her most recent, Acadia, on Nonesuch Records) Williams has introduced unique approaches, such as playing kalimba and guitar simultaneously. She also incorporates instruments like the kora, harp guitar, and banjo. Despite her use of folk instruments, she resists being categorized within the genre, valuing creative freedom over conformity.
THE FINE PRINT
Yasmin Williams will perform a pair of 60-minute sets for two different audiences of 75 patrons each. Ticket holders will be granted access to the green room up to 60 minutes prior to showtime; seating begins 30 minutes before curtain.
We are offering two seating experiences: a standard theater seat with cup holder or a stool with back support placed at a high-top table for four.
There is a four-ticket limit per household and seating assignments will be made on a first ordered, first served basis with accessibility needs in mind. Please indicate any additional needs at the time of your order. For ticketing questions, please call the LOH Box Office at 603.448.0400 between 12 and 5 PM Tuesday-Friday.
