Join the UVCO for an afternoon of extraordinary orchestral music in a family-friendly atmosphere. Performers from throughout the region come together to perform Beethoven’s 2nd Symphony and Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 4. Also on the program, Alexander Borodin’s tone poem In the Steppes of Central Asia and Aaron Copland’s Fanfare for the Common Man, written in 1942.
UVMC’s youth ensemble Vivace Orchestra, also conducted by Mark Nelson, will open the concert. Their selections include Ice, an original work by Vivace violinist Oliver Andrews.
