Sewam is proud to share Native American culture with audiences around the world. Specializing in the dances of United States Plains Indians, Sewam provides rich social and historical context for the Grass Dance, Fancy Dance, and Hoop Dance.

Artistic Director Eddie Madril is a member of the Pascua Yaqui tribe of Southern Arizona and Northern Sonora, Mexico. For him, every song, dance, and gesture helps build awareness and celebrates the living heritage of Native American people.

Supports culturally-responsive instruction and connects to curriculum around American History, Native American society and culture, diversity and equity, family, social awareness and self-awareness.
