Sewam American Indian Dance

Founded by Eddie Madril, an award-winning dancer/educator and member of the Pascua Yaqui tribe of Southern Arizona and Northern Sonora Mexico, Sewam Dance shares the art, music, and culture of Native American dance with audiences around the world.

As Nexus artists-in-residence, Madril and company will teach a series of no-experience-required dance workshops (styles include hoop, women’s traditional and fancy, and men’s fancy) and lead a regalia discussion and arts workshop in Colburn Park. See schedule in sidebar.
