With Travesty, the acclaimed theater artist Sasha Velour – winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race season nine – celebrates queer identity with “a love letter to the ghosts history tried to erase” (Queerland Media).

This 80-minute theatrical tour de force features runway-worthy looks, inventive stage design, and a killer soundtrack featuring the music of Kate Bush, Björk, Halsey, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Annie Lennox, Portishead, and Florence + The Machine.

ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Sasha Velour is an acclaimed gender-fluid drag queen, visual artist, speaker, illustrator, and author.

She is known for her unique fusion of lip-sync performance, video art, and storytelling. Velour is the winner of Season 9 of RuPaul’s Drag Race, the founder and host of New York City’s legendary drag revue NightGowns, and the creator of two celebrated one-queen theater shows (Smoke & Mirrors and The Big Reveal) which she toured across the globe.

Velour is a 2013 graduate of The Center for Cartoon Studies in White River Junction, VT. She made her LOH debut with The Big Reveal in 2024.
