The New Hampshire Music Festival (NHMF) presents an evening of orchestral Beauties & Beasts. Exploring the depths of imagination and emotion, this concert includes Texu Kim’s playful Blow, Fly, Pop!!, Shostakovich’s haunting Cello Concerto No. 1, Ravel’s magical Mother Goose Suite, and Mozart’s majestic Symphony No. 29. Honoring the tradition of classical music while exploring new artistic paths, NHMF is an engaging, immersive festival experience that presents world-class performances to venues throughout the state of New Hampshire. This concert is led by award-winning conductor Yaniv Dinur, winner of the 2019 Sir Georg Solti Conducting Fellow Award and Music Director of the New Bedford Symphony Orchestra. As resident conductor of the Milwaukee Symphony between 2015-2023, he conducted 372 concerts, including 144 performances for youth and children. Recognizing his leadership and impact, the Milwaukee Business Journal selected him as a 40 Under 40 honoree, an award for young professionals making a difference in the community. His career has taken him to additional orchestras in San Diego, Tulsa, Sarasota, Fort Worth, Detroit, Houston, San Antonio, and around the world in Italy, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, Bulgaria, St. Petersburg, Jerusalem, Edmonton, and Ottawa.

Sharing the stage is Korean-American cellist Sydney Lee. Lee is an acclaimed cellist having won two major competitions in 2022: 1st prize at the Washington International Competition and 2nd prize at the Classic Strings International Competition. Since her solo debut at age 13 with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, Lee has continued to perform extensively throughout the US, Europe, and Asia in many of the world’s leading venues. Renowned cellist Julian Lloyd Webber praised her performance with the Armenian Symphony State Orchestra, “Sydney Lee’s playing of Prokofiev’s Sinfonia Concertante was mesmerizing. She surmounted all its technical challenges with ease and gave us a joyous musical experience. It was a performance to treasure.”
