“One of the most compassionate and uplifting young voices in Nashville today.” — NPR Music
Kyshona has always lent her voice and music to those who’ve been silenced or forgotten. She began her career as a music therapist, writing her first songs with the students and inmates under her care. The need to write independently and find her own voice led her to the fertile ground of Nashville’s creative community and songwriting scene.
Now, this “music therapist gone rogue” has crafted her own soulful blend of roots, rock, R&B, and folk. With powerful lyrics centered on themes of activism, empowerment, and overcoming adversity, Kyshona’s trio will open ears (and hearts) to the healing power of song.
This performance is part of LOH’s FREE Nexus Music and Arts Festival. Location: Main Stage (behind LOH/City Hall)
