He has been described as “the love child of Hank Williams and Sam Cooke” and “the John Legend of rockabilly” but Dwayne Haggins is a true original.
For this Massachusetts-based singer/guitarist, every performance is an act of discovery. Whether on the stage of a metropolitan concert hall or the makeshift bandstand of a neighborhood dive, Haggins explores new ways to stir his influences (including country, blues, and soul) into something strangely familiar, naturally mysterious, and unmistakably his own.
This performance is part of LOH’s FREE Nexus Music and Arts Festival. Location: Main Stage (behind LOH/City Hall)
