“A soul singer who evokes comparisons to Amy Winehouse but rocks even harder.” – The Boston Globe

Growing up just outside Boston, Ali McGuirk always dreamed of becoming a singer — but she didn’t see a path forward. To her, professional singers were untouchable pop icons like Brandy, Britney, or Mariah.

After years of absorbing ’90s R&B, ’70s singer-songwriters, and classic soul of every era, McGuirk found her own aesthetic and is making a career of captivating audiences with her powerful, buttery voice and heartfelt songwriting.

Now, The Boston Herald is singing her praises: “With all the hooks of Lake Street Dive but more earthy tenderness and small introspection, McGuirk will be the Bay State’s next big export.”
