Kenyan-born Afro-jazz singer KeruBo uses her voice to heal and inspire. Her latest song, Hakuna Lolote, is a message of hope and comfort for the COVID age.
For KeruBo, music and language possess therapeutic qualities. In 2015, she suffered an aneurysm that left her unable to walk or speak, let alone sing. Drawing on more than 20 years of performing experience—and a deep love of jazz, gospel, blues, and traditional African folk music—she’s turned to music for her own recovery and has dedicated herself to song as service.
The LOH on Location series is made possible thanks to the generous support of Kevin and Punam Keller.
