Juneberry Sings the Night Sky
Presented By Upper Valley Music Center
Join us in our first concert at Lebanon Opera House! Be part of a magical, mysterious 75-minute program of music from many centuries and countries written about the solar system, the moon, and the stars. One special piece (based on planetary orbits by Estonian composer Urmas Sisask) was shipped to us from Finland, where in the north, the sun does not rise over the horizon in the winter.
Guest musicians include cellist Ben Kulp and the UVMC Cello Choir. The audience will be invited to join the chorus in song once in a blue moon and an out-of-this-world reception follows.
Your donation at the door ($15 per person is suggested) makes this program possible.
About the Juneberry Community Chorus of the Upper Valley Music Center:
We are a non-auditioned four-part chorus for men and women whose main purpose is to help adults of all ages find their voices while singing an eclectic mix of music. Rehearsals are held weekly, and concerts are presented in January and May (on Memorial Day). Our mission is “to create a welcoming space in which singers deepen skills within a mutually supportive choral community”. We encourage everyone ages 13 to 100 to join. If you can match a pitch, you are invited to sing with us!
