Silent film with live piano accompaniment from Vermont-based composer Bob Merrill!

John Barrymore plays the title roles in this 1920 adaptation of the classic Robert Louis Stevenson story. Dr. Jekyll, a virtuous London physician and philanthropist, becomes fascinated with the dual nature of man after being exposed to temptation. When he discovers a formula that separates the good from the evil, he chooses to live both roles and names the evil persona Mr. Hyde.

It is not long before Jekyll’s hideous alter ego begins to dominate the good doctor’s affairs…
