Silent film with live piano accompaniment from Vermont-based composer Bob Merrill.
Buster Keaton plays a hapless newsreel cameraman desperate to impress both his new employer and his office crush as he zigzags around Manhattan hustling for a scoop. Along the way, he goes for a swim, becomes embroiled in a gang war, and teams up with a memorable monkey sidekick.
The film is considered by many to be Keaton’s best work and captures the master of physical comedy at his creative peak.
