This one-woman play brings to life the poignant and oftentimes hilarious complexity that is labor and birth.

A raw take on delivery as only a midwife could tell it, Stories from a Midwife catapults the experience of birth into the open through stories, song, tears, and laughter. Midwife Katherine’s stories from years of hand-delivering babies for hundreds of families show the messy, transformative, confusing, and exciting experience of being born through the eyes of both the parents and the baby.

In a world desperately in need of hope, this uplifting show will appeal to soon-to-be families, moms, dads, grandmas, and anyone who wants a reminder of the simple miracle that is Life.

About Gentle Landing:
Over the past 10 years, the options for pregnant and birthing families in the Upper Valley have dwindled. One by one, the majority of our small community hospital birth centers in both New Hampshire and Vermont have closed.

Local midwives Katie Bramhall and Meghan Sperry have heard the community’s call – Gentle Landing Birth Center will very soon be a reality for our community! The lease is signed, and we are ready to build a beautiful birth center to help bring choice to birth in the Upper Valley.

Located just 5 minutes from Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, Gentle Landing Birth Center will provide families with the choice of high quality, personalized perinatal and birthing care in an out-of-hospital setting.
