It’s been 25 years since their debut album, Cruel Sun, and Rusted Root is still going strong with more than three million records sold worldwide and a winning blend of percussive, world beat rock. The powerhouse ensemble’s reputation for hypnotic live performances has landed them coveted tours with everyone from Santana and Dave Matthews Band to The Allman Brothers Band and Robert Plant/Jimmy Page.
The Pittsburgh-based band’s platinum-selling breakthrough, When I Woke, spawned the Top 40 hit Send Me On My Way and set the course for a life on the road. As they have in the past, Rusted Root is currently working on their next record by honing new songs while on tour.
