LOH Production Groups

Each season, nearly a dozen community arts groups set-up residence on the LOH stage. Our house becomes their home and we’re proud to uphold a 93-year commitment to supporting community participation in the arts. No matter the artist’s age or level of experience, they all have the opportunity to perform on a professional stage with expert technicians and quality equipment. Get to know some of our community partners.

CITY CENTER BALLET
City Center Ballet combines the talents of Upper Valley middle and high school dance students with international guest artists. By connecting students with global ambassadors of ballet, City Center’s quality performances including Clara’s Dream, the company’s twist on the Nutcracker story.

THE DANCE COLLECTIVE
TDC has been providing dance instruction in the Upper Valley since the 1980s. Through patient and positive methods, the company encourages young dancers of all levels to have faith in themselves and explore their love of movement.

DANCERS’ CORNER
Active studio with students as young as two years old teaches tap, jazz, hip hop, acrobatics, and more.

LEBANON SCHOOL DISTRICT/SAU88
LOH serves as the home for many of the Lebanon School District’s K-12 instrumental, vocal and theater productions. By providing a positive and safe learning environment, students can achieve the district’s mission of cultivating curiosity and collaboration with an emphasis on diversity and respect.

NORTH COUNTRY CHORDSMEN
The Upper Valley’s resident barbershop-style chorus presents playful programs of a cappella entertainment for audiences of all ages. Whether performing the National Anthem at Dartmouth hockey games, serenading unsuspecting sweethearts with a Singing Valentine or competing in barbershop chorus contests, the ensemble encourages vocal harmony and fellowship wherever they perform.

NORTH COUNTRY COMMUNITY THEATRE
Since 1973, NCCT has produced quality community theater productions and provided Upper Valley residents with the opportunity to take part in all aspects of the creative process. The popular NCCT Teens program offers young adults opportunities for artistic and leadership development while producing an annual winter musical.

OPERA NORTH
The region’s premier professional summer music festival was founded in 1982. It is the only full-time professional opera company serving New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine. Opera North focuses on bringing classic musical theater–in a myriad of styles–to the region, working with noted international artists, designers and directors.

RAQS SALAAM DANCE THEATER
This 60-member performance group—whose name means “dances of peace and greetings” in Arabic—focuses on Middle Eastern, Central Asian and American Belly Dance, including regional folk styles and “Eastern dance done with a Western flair.”

REVELS NORTH
Best known for its annual Christmas Revels program, Revels North provides year-round multi-generational programming celebrating the power of traditional song, dance, storytelling, and ritual.

TRUMBULL HALL TROUPE
THT was founded in 2004 to provide kids with a fun, educational theater experience with the added benefit of serving children in need. Each year, the troupe performs an original musical with net proceeds donated to charity. To date, THT has contributed more than $100,000 to charities throughout the Upper Valley and around the world.

UPPER VALLEY COMMUNITY BAND
The origin of the “community band” in the Upper Valley dates back to the 1860s with roots in the Norwich Military Academy. The band has moved beyond patriotic functions and the UVCB’s 70 active musicians now perform at parades and seasonal events throughout the year, including twice-yearly concerts on the LOH stage.

UPPER VALLEY MUSIC CENTER
UVMC’s expert faculty work with beginning through advanced students and teach programs designed for ages birth through adulthood. Two of the Lebanon-based community music school’s resident ensembles (Upper Valley Chamber Orchestra and Juneberry Community Chorus) offer public performances at LOH.
